![]() ![]() Of these I would actually say Pro-L2 might be the best choice if push comes to shove, since Ableton Live's limiter to me is okay-ish at best. Yes, Pro-Q3, Pro-C2 and Pro-L2 are fantastic plugins, but in the end, if you're not at a level where you need total control over EQ, compression or limiting, or simply feel that you cannot get along with EQ8 or Compresser, they might be overkill right now. If you're fairly new, I would maybe go more for plugins with a tad more creative use, e.g. This really is a tough one, FabFilter are considered "standard" by many for a reason, but I'll give it a try: Otherwise, you’ll never really get everything it has to offer. Be sure to read the manual and watch the tutorials to really understand how to use it. I’ve also seen some people say if you rely on it too much you won’t learn to trust your ears (since it’s super visual). Plus it’s super visual so if you are learning the craft it can help your learning curve - to a point. ![]() It’s ease of use and features will help your music sound better. While I’m sure there will be others who say that this EQ or that EQ is better, as far as the FF plugins go this one is at the the top of the pile for me. It’s not super cool and flashy but it really makes a difference. I know it might not seem super exciting to buy an EQ, but it’s sort of like buying new windows for a house. If you’re wanting something that can really change your workflow and how your finished music sounds, I’d go for EQ3. ![]() That being said there are tons of saturators out there, even for free, so maybe not this one if you can only get one. Saturn is a really great saturation plugin that has tons of uses and so many people use it. ![]()
